This is a key area, WHERE more often than not, ‘if you call a professional to come take a look
I don’t fault them as there are legitimate times when a Deck may truly need to be fully replaced. It might be worth noting that there is also a lot more money associated with a new deck! Not that ANY ‘professional’ would ever be swayed by that factor!!!!!
Hey… if the old one’s shot or if staying on a budget is NOT a factor — go for it!!
The reality is that repair work is not for everyone. I have known many tradesmen who do a great job installing new materials but are terrible when it comes to repair… and quite honestly most are not trained or geared to do repairs & as such have a hard time visualizing the end result.
A good well-rounded home project guy or gal will often be much more adept and proficient at repair work… If you need one – take the time to find one… Word of mouth is by far the best!!! (If you find a good one— treat him/her well & keep their number handy!!
