Here are three suggestions to get you started:
- Check out the 12 Month Plan to either check these items yourself or have someone do it for you. This is designed to give you an ongoing check list as to items that may need to be attended to, along with their degree of urgency. Whether this is done monthly or quarterly or seasonally doesn’t really matter as long as they are done annually.
- Have the Basic Tools on hand to be able to address most items as they arise or in a preventive manner.
- Seek out renters that may be willing to barter some rent for upkeep or improvements. Be sure to check out their credibility before agreeing to any arrangement. If handled well this can be a Win-Win arrangement.
